Gas Piping Design and Riser Diagram

Sized gas riser diagram and load summary for the utility and the permit.

A gas riser diagram shows every appliance with its input, the pipe sizes and routing, the system pressure and regulators, and the meter. Gas utilities ask for it to size a meter or service, and building departments require it with the plumbing or mechanical permit. We size the system to the fuel gas code adopted in your jurisdiction and deliver it in three to five business days.

Frequently asked questions

Does the gas utility need this before upgrading the meter?

Most utilities require a load summary and a riser diagram to size a new meter or service. We prepare both in the format the utility expects.

Can you design elevated-pressure systems?

Yes, where the jurisdiction and the utility allow them, with the regulators, venting and shutoffs the fuel gas code requires.

Have a project in design or permitting?

Send us the drawings you have, even if they are early. We reply within one business day with scope, fee and schedule.
