Construction Administration and As-Built Drawings
Plan review responses, submittals, RFIs, site visits, close-out letters and as-built drawings.
Permit drawings are the start of our responsibility, not the end. Through construction, the contractor needs quick answers, the owner needs the installed systems to match the design, and the building department needs the engineer’s sign-off before the certificate of occupancy. We provide all three for every project we design.
What we provide
- Plan review: responses to examiner comments and revised sheets until the permit is issued.
- Submittals and RFIs: checked against the design intent and the code, with sketches when a field condition needs a change.
- Site visits: at rough-in, before the ceilings close, and at completion, with written field reports.
- Close-out: punch lists, letters of completion, special inspection sign-offs where required, and record drawings for the owner.
For owners and franchisees
Construction administration is where schedule gets protected. A rough-in observation that catches a missing fire damper or an undersized gas line costs an hour; the same item found by the inspector costs weeks.

Learn moreFrequently asked questions
Do you respond to plan examiner comments on drawings you did not prepare?
We can, after reviewing the drawings and confirming the design is one we are willing to take responsibility for. Often the fastest path is a focused revision under our seal.
How quickly do you turn around RFIs?
Our standard is two business days, faster when the contractor is waiting on a rough-in. Submittals are returned within five business days.
Do you provide the letters the building department needs for sign-off?
Yes. Where the jurisdiction requires the engineer of record to certify that the installation matches the approved drawings, we inspect and issue the letter.
Have a project in design or permitting?
Send us the drawings you have, even if they are early. We reply within one business day with scope, fee and schedule.
