Backflow Preventer Design and Application

Device selection, detail drawing and the application package for the water purveyor.

Water purveyors require a backflow preventer on most commercial services, and they require an engineer’s detail and application to approve it. We select the device for the hazard classification, prepare the detail and site plan, and complete the forms, in three to five business days.

Frequently asked questions

Which type of backflow preventer do I need?

It depends on the degree of hazard the purveyor assigns to the building use. Restaurants, medical and industrial uses usually require a reduced pressure zone assembly; we select the device to the purveyor's rules.

Do you submit the application?

We prepare the package and can submit it on your behalf where the purveyor allows an engineer to file.

Have a project in design or permitting?

Send us the drawings you have, even if they are early. We reply within one business day with scope, fee and schedule.
